Game developers Blizzard Entertainment, announced the start date and time for the Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year event 2023, along with skins via Twitch Drops
Currently, Overwatch 2 players can enjoy the OW2 Battle for Olympus with some hero buffs and nerfs in its patch notes.

Overwatch is a game developed by American game developers Blizzard Entertainment. While the Battle For Olympus is scheduled to end on January 19, it has provided lots of fun and entertainment so far.
However, players will now soon get to celebrate the Chinese New Year with the Lunar New Year event.
Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year event 2023 release date
Game developers Blizzard Entertainment announced the start date for the Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year event as January 17. The developers confirmed the news through their OW2 news post.
The news article states that the celebration will last upto February 1, whereas the roadmap previously stated until February 6. Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year event will feature various challenges to complete, which will unlock free rewards. As of now, developers have not announced any modes or challenges but players can obtain skins.
OW2 Twitch drops skins
PlayOverwatch announced on Twitter that OW2 players can obtain the following Twitch Drops skins and pose before the Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year event 2023 begins:
- Moira’s Lion Roars Victory Pose
- Mask Dancer Moira (Legendary)
Players will need to watch Overwatch 2 Twitch streamers who have Drops enabled for two hours to get the pose. For the Legendary skin, streamers will have to watch for four hours.
Players should note that the two hours for the victory pose does not include with the four hours to get Dancer Moira. Apart from these, the only skin confirmed so far for the Lunar New Year event is the Mei dressed up as a rabbit. The skin featured in the season 2 trailer, which is available for preview on YouTube.
