2023 Bahrain Darts Masters: Gerwyn Price vs Michael Smith final results, score, & match summary
While the eight PDC stars won on Day One against the eight Asian representatives, World Champion Smith ultimately won the £20,000 prize and his third World Series victory. After winning the Grand Slam of Darts and the World Championship, which sent him to the top of the world rankings, the victory was Smith’s third televised victory in as many months.
Smith had dominated in his victory against Abdulnasser Yusuf in the first round on Thursday, but he had to rally from a 3-1 deficit to beat Dimitri Van den Bergh 6-4 in the quarterfinals, and he also trailed early in his match against Raymond van Barneveld in the semifinal. Smith, though, shown his talent to come back and win 7-5 before defeating Price in a thrilling finale.
Prior to Smith breaking for the first time to take the lead 3-2, the players shared the first four legs, with Price hitting six flawless darts in leg three. Before Smith posted legs of 11 and 13 darts in a rush to quickly gain a 7-3 ahead, the following two legs also ended in throws. Price hit back to trail just 7-6 after throwing in an 11-darter and punishing Smith for missing match darts in leg 12, but he was unable to finish 97 to force a decider, allowing his opponent in to score double five and finally claim victory.

2023 Bahrain Darts Masters: prize money pool distribution
As the winner of 2023 Bahrain Darts Masters, reigning world champion Michael Smith will take home £20,000, while Gerwyn Price will take home £10,000 as the runner-up. Rob Cross and Raymond van Barneveld will receive £5,000 each out of the £60,000 total prize money.
