Why did he try to kill his girlfriend?
On Sunday, January 8, approximately 25 miles south of Milwaukee, Elia Olson and his girlfriend Jones were walking along the train tracks of the city to smoke.
When she told Olson she wanted to end their relationship, she claims he urged her to turn off her phone before tossing it aside, then pointed a white revolver at her head and shot her.
Olson apparently heard her pleas for survival in front of him but responded, “You have to die,” before shooting another two or three times. He later escaped the area.
Later, Jones raced for assistance, alerting a driver on 21st Street and Memorial Drive to her predicament, who then dialed 911. She was transported to Milwaukee’s Children’s Hospital by Flight for Life.
At his friend’s residence, Olson was arrested with a backpack containing a.22 pistols and two magazines for a 9 mm handgun. During a search of his home, bloody clothes were also discovered.
Olson said that the breakup and her Snapchat posts were the reason he shot his girlfriend. According to Racine County Eye, the child was given a $500,000 cash bail at his first court appearance and told to keep away from Jones and her family. On January 18, he will show up in court for his preliminary hearing.
