Ahmaad Galloway, a former running back for the Alabama Crimson Tide, was discovered dead in his apartment on Monday, know his cause of death

Galloway was found during a welfare check at the Compton-Drew Middle School in St. Louis, Missouri, where he worked as a teacher.

The principal of the school, Susan Reid, stated that the discovery was made. The medical examiner is conducting an investigation to determine how he passed away as the cause of death is now unknown after he was found dead in his St Louis apartment.
“Ahmaad was always on time, very responsible, so we knew something might be wrong,” principal Susan Reid told WVTM. “There wasn’t anything disrupted at Ahmaad’s apartment, so we are thinking that it could have been a medical issue.”
Galloway was a big contributor for Alabama during the 2000 and 2001 seasons while he was a player for the Crimson Tide from 1999 to 2002.

During those two years, he rushed for a total of 1,540 yards and scored 13 touchdowns, but a knee injury that he suffered during his last season with the Crimson Tide prevented him from reaching his full potential. During the course of his career, he turned in a number of impressive performances, one of which was against Vanderbilt in 2000, when he rushed for 172 yards and scored a touchdown while playing in just his second game.
Additionally, Galloway rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown as Alabama defeated their bitter rival Auburn in the 2001 season. During his time at the university, he demonstrated great level of skill. That was sufficient to warrant the Denver Broncos’ selection of him in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL draught. Later in his career, he played for the San Diego Chargers and also spent some time playing in NFL Europe.
He then went onto become an English teacher at a St Louis middle school.
