MM Keeravani is a well-known Indian music composer, record producer, singer, and songwriter. He has been in the news his song Naatu Naatu from the RRR movie has won the Golden Globe Award.
His real name is Koduri Maragathamani Keeravani. He is also known as Maragathamani (Tamil) and M. M. Kreem (Hindi). He was born on July 4, 1961, in Kovvur, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father’s name is Koduri Siva Shakthi Datta, who was a well-known lyricist and screenwriter.
He also has a brother named Kalyani Malik, who is also a music director and singer. He is also related to vocalist M. M. Srilekha, the music director, and filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli. He is the nephew of V. Vijayendra Prasad, a film director, and screenwriter.
He is married and his wife’s name is MM Srivalli who works as a line producer in films. He has two sons; Kaala Bhairava, a singer, and Sri Simha, an actor.

As an assistant to the composers C. Rajamani and K. Chakravarthy, MM Keeravani started his career. His career started taking off with his first significant release Manasu Mamatha. The very following year, he contributed to Ram Gopal Verma’s movie Kshana Kshanam. In South India, he became well-known because of the popularity of Kshana Kshanam’s songs.
Additionally, he has had a successful career in Bollywood, where he has contributed to movies like Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin, Sur – The Melody of Life, Zakhm, Saaya, and Jism. Additionally, he wrote the music for the Shah Rukh Khan movie Paheli.
For the movie Annamayya in 1997, he received a National Award. For his music, he has also won a total of eight Filmfare Awards.
