A week before Ana Walshe vanished on January 1, her mother reportedly revealed that her daughter “begged her to come and visit her around the holidays.” Belgrade, Serbia resident Milanka Ljubicic said that her daughter’s pleading request, at age 39, made her suspect. That “there were some problems.”
Ljubicic stated, “She just said, ‘Please, mama. Come tomorrow.’ Which means, that clearly, there must have been some problems.”ย On December 25, 2022, Walshe allegedly sent a text message to Ljubicic. Requesting her to meet with him in Washington the following day. “She texted in the evening, urging me to come the next day to Washington,” she said.
And Ljubicic reportedly shot back by saying that she needed more than a day to pull herself together. Ljubicic said she was 69 years old and have a million things to do, including getting her meds. She said she would drop by the next day.
