A 25-year-old Milwaukee man Justin Bloedorn was arrested for felony burglary after he admitted to taking things from the Brewers clubhouse at American Family Field in 2017
Just last month, Justin Bloedorn was charged by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. The criminal complaint states that on September 8, Bloedorn went with his roommate and the roommate’s father to see the Milwaukee Brewers play a doubleheader against the San Francisco Giants.
Justin Bloedorn, left the stadium after downing at least ten drinks and afterwards passed out in the bushes nearby. After coming to, “(Bloedorn) indicated that he walked up to the door of the stadium and began pulling on it until it opened,” the criminal complaint reads. According to the lawsuit, Bloedorn then went to the Brewers’ locker area and started stealing things.

A Brewers strength coach reported that various belongings, including a laptop, two iPods, a Walkman, two sets of headphones, a passport, two pairs of sunglasses, a credit card, and personal notebooks and calendars, were stolen from his office.
In addition, a shirt and shaving kit were taken from manager Craig Counsell’s office. The keys to the Arizona spring training complex were also taken, as well as a game-used hat, an autographed baseball bat, a bat signed by the 1982 Brewers to commemorate their 45th anniversary, a replica of their World Series ring, and the equipment manager’s office.
A small locker bag containing baseballs and pitching training gear was stolen from the coaches’ locker room, and two game-issued jerseys were removed from the clubhouse by detectives. The complaint states that once Bloedorn left the locker area, he called an Uber and took the things with him. The complaint claims that some of Bloedorn’s actions were recorded on surveillance footage.
Bloedorn’s roommate called dispatch while detectives were still at the clubhouse to claim that Bloedorn had stolen property from the establishment.
Justin Bloedorn went missing around the seventh innings
Detectives were told by Bloedorn’s roommate that he disappeared during the second game, somewhere around the seventh inning. The roommate was unable to locate Bloedorn when the game ended, so he rode the shuttle back to his car.
Bloedorn started sending the roommate images taken inside the stadium later that evening. Following this, Bloedorn inquired of his roommate as to whether or not he required anything from the stadium and whether or not he could obtain a ride home. The roommate turned down Bloedorn, leaving him to fend for himself.
By the early hours of September 9, Justin Bloedorn had taken an Uber home. And his roommate reported that he was carrying a duffel bag stuffed with Brewers memorabilia.
Justin Bloedorn confessed after getting arrested
The police tracked down Bloedorn’s home and discovered him asleep inside. The lawsuit states that after Bloedorn woke up, he confessed to stealing everything. And offered permission for police to search his flat. Where they found the “bulk” of the stolen things from the clubhouse.
The maximum penalty for Justin Bloedorn’s conviction is 12 years and 6 months in jail. A fine of up to $25,000, or both. On Thursday, the Brewers stayed mum, citing an active lawsuit as the reason.
