What will be the reward for Indian players if they win 2023 Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup?
While the official prize money hasn’t been revealed for the world cup, Odisha’s chief minister Naveen Patnaik has pledged a reward of INR 1,000,000 for each player if India managed to win the 2023 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup. For the next World Cup, India will field an 18-person squad with Harmanpreet Singh serving as the team’s captain and Amit Rohidas serving as his backup.
With 225 rooms and all the services the Hockey World Cup requires, the World Cup Village was built in a record-breaking nine months. In preparation for the 2017 Hockey World Cup, teams and officials will stay in the World Cup Village. The National Men’s Hockey Team is staying at the World Cup Village, and the Chief Minister interacted with them on this occasion.
How much did it cost to build the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium?
Players complimented the state of Odisha and congratulated the chief minister for creating a comprehensive hockey ecosystem for the country’s athletes. The world cup village, the hockey practice facility, and the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium will provide national and international players for the prestigious competition with an all-encompassing environment.
Hockey India has partnered with Taj Group to deliver exemplary service and hospitality that honors the traditions of Odisha. The massive 500 crore Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium was built with roughly 3,600 tons of structural steel and 4,000 tons of TMT steel, with a large portion of the cost covered by the Sundargarh district mineral foundation.
