Ganesh in Shark Tank
Let us remind you in the Friday night episode, the entrepreneur told the sharks that his company, Flatheads which was founded back in 2019 has started in a quite great way but soon afterwards Covid-19 pandemic struck which put his company in a difficult situation.
The founder of the brand revealed that his company has run out of capital and he is using money out of his own pocket to pay the salaries and to get the company going. He also stated that he has used around Rs. 35 Lakh to pay the salaries of employees from his pocket.
As a result most of the sharks told him they are out and they can’t offer him a deal as they reason that the amount of Rs. 75 Lakh which he is asking won’t be going to help in reviving his company.
They also helped him understand that his company is in a difficult situation because of high prices of products as Ganesh revealed that his mid-range products are priced at Rs. 2,500 which as per the Sharks, is too much for the Indian market.

The price of their shoes ranges from Rs. 1000 to 5000. The founder of the company told the sharks in the recent episode that though his company is selling the product they aren’t profitable.
Ganesh Balakrishnan who’s a founder of the company also had a co-founder of the brand, who’s been designing these shoes.

Thanks for bringing this up, and for your support @kaushikmkj! This is something the startup ecosystem badly needs to talk about as a focus topic. We can't be driven only by the unicorn and funding PR hype. https://t.co/vAscCz6hDJ
