Watch: “This isn’t white ball cricket,” Virat Kohli Sledges Jos Buttler, Drops His Catch In The Very Next Over

Virat Kohli made a meal of what should have been a straightforward catch as he dropped Jos Buttler at slips

Reducing England to 67-5 as both Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root both departed without the scoreboard moving, the Indians were in complete control of the Lord’s test match. With more than 30 overs left on day 5 of the Lord’s test match, the visitors were in with more than a shout of winning the showdown.

As Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali took guard, an Indian bowling unit fired up and with momentum in its ranks continued sending down rippers to the newly instated English duo. And Virat Kohli continued to spice things up with the Indian captain going hammer and tongs as he decided to sledge Jos Buttler.

Running to the wicket-keeper after the end of the over, Kohli chirped, “This isn’t white ball cricket,” towards Jos Buttler. However, he ended up looking like a clown in the very next over itself as he dropped an extremely simple catch at slips.

As Jasprit Bumrah induced an edge from Buttler, the ball went straight towards Kohli and the perfect height. However, rather than latching onto the candy he was given, Kohli ended up selling India down the river as he dropped a sitter.

The reprieve was built on by Buttler and Moeen Ali with the two managing to keep the Indian bowlers at bay ever since. The catch could end up costing India the match as the overs start running out on the final day.

Previously in the test match, Virat Kohli had abused James Anderson and ended up departing as Sam Curran sent him back to the pavilion soon after.
