As per a report by the New York Post, her attorney claimed that the socialite was having problems due to her two former husbands. Subsequently the court acceded to the plea which led the original charges of murder to be dropped and reduced into manslaughter. Her net worth before her conviction was at $56 million.
Jordan was convicted of the murder and was sentenced to 18 years behind bars in 2014. Later, in 2018, it was overturned due to supposed errors in the judicial process.
While Imposing the original sentence, the Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Charles Solomon, stated that, “She had all the money in the world to help Jude but she wound up taking his life.”
