The tragic news of White’s demise was confirmed by his brother, Verdine White, who’s also one of the founding members of their band.

The brother of Fred, Verdine took to his Instagram handle and revealed the tragic news as he stated, “Dearest family, friends and fans. Our family is saddened today with the loss of an amazing and talented family member, our beloved brother Frederick Eugene ‘Freddie’ White.”
He further added, “He joins our brothers Maurice, Monte and Ronald in heaven and is now drumming with the angels! Child protege, member of the EWF ORIGINAL 9, with gold records at the young age of 16 years old! He was brother number 4 in the family lineup.”
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, Verdine revealed that his brother was found dead at his home, however, he didn’t specify how his brother died.
