Food delivery platform Zomato has declared that co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) Gunjan Patidar has quit the company after more than 14 years of working. Patidar’s exit comes weeks after the co-founder of Zomato Mohit Gupta quit the company. It has been reported that, โGunjan Patidar, Co-founder and the Chief Technology Officer at the Company has tendered his resignation today from the Zomato” as stated in a regulatory filing
Gunjan Patidar professional career and education
Before joining Zomato, he worked as a software engineer at Cyient. He has a B.Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), based in Delhi. He also shares his alma mater with the Zomato CEO, Mr Deepinder Goyal.
Gunjan Patidar was the first few employees of Zomato who have built the core tech systems for the company, the company. In the company, he was also responsible for all work related to tech verticals in the company and for nurturing tech talent and building strength to improve the design, development, and deployment of all the new products for customers, as per to his LinkedIn profile.
Hailing from a small town, Khargone in Madhya Pradesh, Gunjan was introduced to the IITs in 2001, when he was a Class 10 student by his elder brother.
