What is Gerard Pique’s creative Kings League?
Gerard Piqué quickly revealed his next endeavor, the Kings League, despite his sudden and unexpected retirement. Teams in this competition will be represented by football players like Iker Casillas and Kun Agüero as well as streamers like Ibai, Spursito, and DjMaRiio. Recently, Ibai tweeted the news on his Twitch channel and on Twitter as he was introducing his viewers to the special events. Even though Gerard Piqué has been in contact with the platform and the streamer for a while, he has only just found the time to fulfil his dream.
This will be not the first time Pique has collaborated with Ibai as the pair had earlier collaborated to create Balloon World Cup, which was big hit among audience. Hence, expectations will be high for this upcoming tournament.
Kings League Format, Player Draft, Teams, & Presidents
At this new tournament called Kings League, twelve teams will participate with twelve players in each team. Out of these twelve players, ten will be be selected through draft and remaining two will be selected by the respective team’s president. It is anticipated that this tournament will kick-off in 2023 with each match taking place on Sunday.
