WTC Final scenario for India, South Africa, and Sri Lanka
India is in a strong position after a 2-0 series victory in Bangladesh
India is currently in a pole position to qualify for the finals after their ecstatic series victory against Bangladesh. They won both the games of the series and made their WTC final chance alive.
Now they have to win the series against Australia in February on their home soil. India needs to finish well in the last series of the cycle if wants to play the final at the oval. If India wins all 4 remaining games they will reach 69.77% which is higher than Sri Lanka’s best finish percentage.
South Africa needs to win 4 out of 4 games
The way for South Africa looks very timid after their miserable performance in the down under. They have lost the first test of the 3-match test series and are on the verge of losing the second.
If they manage to win the 2nd and 3rd Test against Australia and also progressed to win the series against West Indies 2-0 then will straight away qualify for the finals.
Sri Lanka can reach 61.11% if they win the remaining 2 Tests
Sri Lanka has a 2-match test series scheduled against the Kiwis. The Lanka Lions can reach the mark of 61.11% if they clean sweep New Zealand in the series which is still less than South Africa and India.
