Cameroon Green of Australia became the second most expensive player, having been bought by Mumbai Indians at Rs 17.50 crore. Ben Stokes and Nicolas Pooran were the other two expensive players purchased by Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 16.25 crore and Rs 16 crore, respectively. Whereas, Mayank Aggarwal was the only most expensive player from India this time. Sunrisers Hyderabad paid Rs 8.25 crore for him.
When is IPL 2023 Scheduled to begin?
IPL 2023 was formerly scheduled to take place on March 25, however, the date has now been finalized and rescheduled. According to sources, BCC has notified the 10 IPL franchises of the league’s start date. The league will not begin in March as it has in the past.
IPL 2023 will begin on April 1st, according to the new schedule. In addition, the BCCI has also announced the schedule for the inaugural Women’s IPL. The Women’s IPL will begin on March 3, with the final on March 26.
