Darts star Wayne Mardle refuted the claim that he used a butt plug as a bottle stopper because he was in the mood for any wicked Christmas activities
What’s this story of a bottle stopper as a sex toy?
On Christmas Eve, Mardle broke open a bottle of $200 champagne to get into the holiday spirit. But he inserted a stopper to preserve the freshness and fizz of the Dom Perignon.

Mardle added the phrase “Thought I’d start off on the garbage” and an emoji that winked. However, one cheeky admirer boldly claimed it wasn’t a real bottle stopper in an attempt to humiliate the oche ace. “The a butt plug in the top of that bottle mab,” the follower retorted. Mardle firmly said, “No,” late yesterday evening, not having any of it.

But in the strange exchange, Daniel, his wind-up-merchant devotee, returned for more. “That’s what I would say if I were caught out, he said in a joke.” Mardle, however, disregarded that advice and continued to celebrate Christmas.
After a 19-year career as a professional darts player, the 49-year-old retired in 2012. Hawaii 501 reached the PDC World Championships semifinals four times. And he’ll undoubtedly be watching again on Tuesday when the 2023 tournament resumes. At Alexandra Palace, the third round of competition will feature Peter Wright, Nathan Aspinall, and Gerwyn Price.
Before, Mardle was full of praises for Leicester ace James Maddison.
After learning of James Maddison’s 180 prowess, Wayne Mardle made the England midfielder laugh by telling him that he is now superior to him on the oche. Leicester’s best was in the crowd last week, James Maddison defied supporters’ demands to down a beer just days before the Foxes meet Newcastle.
Mardle told Maddison, a player for Leicester and England, that he is superior to him at darts after discovering his 180 prowess during practice sessions at his club.
The 26-year-old was present at Alexandra Palace for the penultimate day of play before Christmas and was called into the Sky Sports studio to speak with presenter Emma Paton of Sky Sports and pundit Mardle, who questioned him on his talent.
