Shish Mahal was closed for 48 hours out of respect. The Glasgow Central Mosque was the place where his funeral was held. In a previous interview with AFP, Aslam talked about how a customer in the 1970s asked him to make a dish with a special sauce.
He said that a customer had asked if there was a way to make chicken tikka less dry. He fixed it by putting on a creamy tomato sauce. “This restaurant is where Chicken Tikka Masala was first made. We used to make chicken tikka, and one day a customer said, “I’d like some sauce with that, this is a little dry,” “He told the organisation.
He said that he made the sauce for the chicken tikka with yoghurt, cream, and spices. “It’s a dish made to suit the tastes of our customers.
Glasgow Central Is The Birthplace Of Chicken Tikka Masala
In 2009, Sarwar, the Labour MP for Glasgow Central, pitched the the same place as the birthplace of the Masala. He fought in the House of Commons for Masala to be given the EU Protected Designation of Origin status. But in the end he was not successful.
But a number of places in the UK also said they were the ones who came up with the popular dish. People say that Chicken Tikka Masala is Britain’s national dish because it is a common dish in most British homes. His net worth stood at $5 million.
