Despite finishing at the top of group-stage standings in Group-1, Ryan Day failed to deliver the same level of performance, as he lost in the play-off semi-final against Selt by score of 2-3. Later in the day, Jack Lisowski defeated Selt via 3-1 score to become champion of Group-1 and qualify for Winners Group.

2023 Betvictor Snooker Championship League Group-1 Results, Winner, Scores, & Other Details

With three victories out of four, Jack Lisowski entered day two of the competition knowing that not much more was necessary to guarantee a spot in the group playoffs. In the evening group semi-finals, Lisowski defeated Brown 3-2 in a high-scoring contest that featured four breaks of fifty-plus breaks, while Ryan Day suffered defeat against in another five-frame thriller. In the final match of Group-1, Jack Lisowski started strong by winning first two frames before Selt fought back to win the third frame and reduce the deficit to 2-1. However, Lisowski held his nerve to wing the fourth frame without any trouble and managed to reign supreme among competitors of Group-1.

Following his victory, Lisowski has qualified for the Winners Group, which is scheduled in February. During Wednesday’s matches at 2023 Betvictor Championship League Invitational, Group-2 players will play with Barry Hawkins among standout players.

Prize Money Pool Distribution

The prize pool for this prestigious competition is £205,000, and each frame a player wins is worth £100. Players also receive considerable bonuses depending on where they finish in their group, and the Winners’ Group receives higher prize money. Each group consists of seven players, and games are played over the course of two days. A spot in the 2023 Champion of Champions is also on the line.
