American student Kenny DeLand Jr was reported missing more than two weeks ago in Grenoble, France, know his age and parents
His father, Ken DeLand Sr., told CNN on Friday, December 16, that his son is still alive.
DeLand Sr. told CNN, “I talked to him, and he is alive. That’s all I can say.” On November 29, DeLand Jr. was reported missing by his classmates because he hadn’t been to class in two days and hadn’t talked to his parents. The prosecutor in Grenoble said that Vaillant started an investigation after the missing report.

He was seen at a store in the town of Montélimar on December 3, a week after he went missing. Montélimar is 90 miles southwest of Grenoble. Deland was also said to have said he wanted to go to Marseille, a city on the Mediterranean about 310 miles south of Grenoble, before going back to the United States.
Kenny DeLand Jr. is a student from the United States who lives in France right now. Kenny Deland Sr. is his father, and Carol Laws is his mother. Austin DeLand is his brother.
21 year old Kenny DeLand Jr. went missing while studying abroad at University Grenoble Alpes in France and was reported missing Nov 29th, 2022.
He graduated from Midlakes Schools in New York, where he went to high school. He has also gone to school at Rochester, New York’s St. John Fisher University. His family says that DeLand Jr. was going to school in France at the University of Grenoble Alpes. DeLand is from the NY town of Clifton Springs. Before he moved to France, he lived in Newark.

Pamela Hernon, DeLand’s cousin, went on social media to say that he had been found after he went missing. “For those of you who have been following this story, my cousin Kenny has been found. He had been missing for 2 1/2 weeks in France,” Hernon wrote.
