The 2022 FIFA World Cup final will be held on Sunday, December 18 at the iconic Lusail Stadium in Doha, Qatar. Both sides will be seeking to add the third star in their respective jerseys. France is the defending champion, and if they win, they will become the third country in history to win back-to-back world cups.

France has two FIFA World Cup titles to its name. The first occurred in 1998 when they defeated Brazil, and the second occurred in 2018 when they defeated Croatia. If France wins the 2022 FIFA World Cup, it will become the third country in history to accomplish so. The countries that have won two FIFA World Cups in a row are listed below.
1) Italy – 1934/1938

2) Brazil – 1958/1962
Brazil is regarded as the most successful team in FIFA World Cup history. They have won the World Cup six times, the most of any nation. Brazil is also the second team, after Italy, to win two World Cups in a row in 1958 and 1962. However, Brazil’s performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup did not go well, as they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Croatia.
