In 2011, Cricket Australia launched the Big Bash League (BBL), an Australian Twenty20 cricket league, know its winners list and winning prize money
Since the very first year of the tournament, KFC has been a major sponsor.
This is why the league is commonly referred to as the “KFC Big Bash League.” Like the Indian Premier Competition, this league is divided into eight different cities with their own teams ( Indian Premier League). When compared to other domestic sports leagues, BBL’s average attendance is in the top 10 worldwide.

An expansion of the competition, which debuted in 2011, was planned for the following year. The four planned cities were Newcastle, Canberra, Geelong, and Gold Coast. It was also suggested that the team be headquartered out of New Zealand, most likely in either Auckland or Christchurch.
However, plans to expand the league were put on hold because many of the suggested cities lacked the infrastructure to stage a major sporting event.
This competition takes place exclusively in Australia throughout the course of the summer months of December, January, and February. Prior to 2014, only the top two clubs would advance to the Champions League T20.
Similar to Europe’s UEFA Champions League football tournament, this tournament featured the best teams from throughout the world’s local T20 cricket tournaments. Although the Champions League T20 tournament ran its course in 2014, it no longer exists.
