A Former Celebrity lawyer, Michael Avenatti, who’s best known for representing adult film actress Stormy Daniels, is making headlines after he was sentenced to 14 years in prison, know his net worth
As per a report by CNN, the American former Attorney, who had been accused of stealing millions of dollars from his client was sentenced to 14 years behind bars on Monday, December 5, 2022.

A federal court judge in Santa Ana, California, ordered Avenatti to pay a sum of $11 million for the restitution of embezzling millions of dollars from 4 of his clients.
For those who are unaware, let us tell you, the sentence comes almost a year after the former lawyer pleaded guilty to 4 counts of wire fraud for each of his clients from whom he had stolen and 1 count of endeavoring to obstruct the administration of IRC.
As per the prosecutor, Michael had obstructed iRS’ effort to collect an unpaid amount of $5 million of payroll taxes for Tully’s Coffee.
The US Attorney, Martin Estrada stated in an earlier interview that, “Michael Avenatti was a corrupt lawyer who claimed he was fighting for the little guy. In fact, he only cared about his own selfish interests.”
Martin further added, “He stole millions of dollars from his clients – all to finance his extravagant lifestyle that included a private jet and race cars.
“As a result of his illegal acts, he has lost his right to practice law in California, and now he will serve a richly deserved prison sentence.”
Meanwhile, the Attorney of Avenatti, Dean Steward stated to CNN in a conversation that the sentence was “overly harsh and uncalled for,” before adding that his client was described in federal court as being “off the charts.”
Who’s Michael Avenatti?
For those who are unfamiliar with Michael Avenatti, let us tell you, the California native was born on February 16, 1971, in Sacramento. However, he moved to Chesterfield, Missouri, in 1982.
He attended Saint Louis University in 1989, though a year after the lawyer transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, from where he completed his Bachelor in Arts and Political Science in 1996.
After completing his graduation, he went on to attend the George Washington University Law School, from where he completed a degree in 200 while ranking first in his class.
In 2010, the lawyer was honored with GW’s Alumni Recognition Award. The former lawyer is best known for representing Stormy Daniels against former President Donald Trump.
The 51-year-old is also known for his attempted extortion of Nike as well as for filing a suit against Fortune 500 companies.
Avenatti was married to Christine Carlin for approximately 13 years. The duo share 2 children together. In 2011, he married Lisa Storie with whom he had one son. However the couple went their separate ways in December 2017. His net worth stands at $4 million.
