Rigobert Song Playing Career

Song began his professional career at Metz, where he contributed to the club’s 1996 Coupe de la Ligue triumph. In 137 appearances for Cameroon (1993โ€“2010), Rigobert Song scored 5 goals. Song was a versatile defender who can play both positions at the back. He represented Cameroon in 8 Africa Cup of Nations games, 8 of which he led his country.

In 2000 and 2002, Song won two Africa Cup of Nations championships. Rigobert Song participated in 1994, 1998, 2002, and 2010 World Cups.
