The greatest mobile esports competition ever, the Honor of Kings International Championship 2022, is scheduled to start on December 3 and will feature the top 16 teams from around the globe, know its schedule and prize money
The $10 million prize pool for the championship will break the previous record for the biggest reward pool tournament in mobile esports.
The competition is a rebranded version of the International Arena of Valor Championship. While other regional teams will play remotely in South Korea, teams from China will compete from studios in Shenzhen. The Group Stage and the Knockout are the two stages of the competition.

16 teams will compete in the first phase, which runs from December 3 through December 13, for eight spots in the knockout stage. The top two teams from each group advance to the following stage after which these teams are sorted into four groups. Each group’s worst two teams will be kicked out of the competition.
All games in the Group Stage will be played in a Best 2 formats with a double round-robin structure (BO2). A 2-0 victory results in three points for the winning team, and a 1-1 draw results in one point. A 0-2 loss results in a score of 0 points for the losing team.
Knockout Stage
- Quarter Finals – December 16 to 19
- Semifinals – December 24 and 25
- Grand Finals – December 30
Beginning on December 16, the second phase will include a Single Elimination Bracket with a Best of 7 (BO7) format for all of the games.

Through KPL points, two well-known teams—Wolves and eStar Pro—who have won numerous significant competitions—have qualified for the event. Because of their relative dominance in the Honor of Kings esports industry, both teams have amassed earnings of about $7 million each.

Ahead of the major competition, the well-known South Korean group Gen.G Esports just entered the scene. To compete in the Honor of Kings esports contests, Nova Esports, a well-known mobile esports company, has teamed up with Turkey’s Futbolist.
The championship winning team will take home a whopping $3.5 million in prize money, while the losing team will only receive $1.3 million. The Group Stage teams will receive a minimum of $250K.
