A radio personality and competitive eater Patrick Philbin also referred to as Pat from Moonachie, has died at the age of 59, know his cause of death and obituary

While his cause of death was not revealed by his friends and family members. Over the last few years, he used to update his fans on social media about his medical treatment, which included dialysis and cataract surgery and his leg had to be cut off, following which he had to undergo hydrotherapy.

 

The Opie & Anthony Showformer ‘s presenter Anthony Cumia announced Philbin’s passing on Monday night, describing him as an all-around nice guy who frequently appeared on the programme. Pat was a character, entertaining as all hell, Cumia commented on Twitter. He was also a sincere lovely guy. He contributed significantly to the O&A show over the years. Pat, RIP.

Although the reason for his death has not been made public, Philbin recently informed his followers that he was receiving hydrotherapy since he had lost one of his legs. According to Anthony, Philbin told him that he was receiving hydrotherapy to preserve his one surviving leg on the 17th of November.

A GoFundMe page was also created for Philbin, who claimed he needed funds for medical expenditures due to health problems. Over $20,000 was raised by that fund.

In addition to making people laugh on the radio, Philbin participated in Major League Eating. In fact, Pat finished in second place at the 2009 Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Event in Atlantic City, which is the most well-known eating contest worldwide.

However, it may be argued that his best performance was during an eggnog drinking contest when he downed 75 shots of the creamy beverage before puking it all on someone.

Pat’s followers rushed to social media after hearing the news, paying respect to the New Jersey native. One of them said on Facebook that he was a funny MFer. They were fortunate to meet and live close to one another. May God continue to bless him.
