On Saturday, the No. 22 Oregon State Beavers rallied for a 38-34 victory by taking advantage of crucial errors by the No. 10 Oregon Ducks in the fourth quarter with a video of the brutal punch by DJ Johnson viral
The Oregon Ducks had blown a 31-10 lead to the Oregon State Beavers when Isaiah Newell scored the game-winning touchdown with 8:11 left to play.
After blowing a three-touchdown lead over their in-state rival Oregon State Beavers on Saturday, the Oregon Ducks experienced intense emotions. That devastating defeat, however, was quickly forgotten as a Ducks player was seen on camera punching a spectator who had gathered on the field to celebrate.

DJ Johnson must make a compelling case for himself.
Following the surprise victory, Oregon State supporters rushed the field, and Ducks linebacker DJ Johnson was seen on camera hitting a Beaver supporter. DJ Johnson would strike a Beavers supporter in the back of the head as he passed by. The supporter gave Johnson a tip of his hat before starting to leave. Johnson, who had to be restrained by two of his coaches, was facing the direction he was facing. Now, as a consequence Johnson should not most likely be available for the next game after his behaviour.
Beavers surprised the ducks out of nowhere.
With just under five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Ducks lead 31-10, but the Beavers rallied 28-3 points in the final two minutes to defeat Oregon, 38-34. This is not the only instance of a college football player acting aggressively toward a fan this year; in October, after the Vols’ exciting victory against the Crimson Tide, Alabama’s Jermaine Burton was caught punching a female Tennessee supporter.
Can the Ducks still get to the Pac-12 title game?
Oregon’s defeat was upsetting since they had full control over their path to the Pac-12 championship game. The Ducks now need Washington to lose against Washington State as a result of the loss, though. If the Huskies triumph, the Utah Utes will win the tiebreaker over the Ducks. The Ducks still have a chance to get to the Pac-12 title game, but they’ll need rival Washington State to defeat Oregon.
