Although the PPV share details of the match have not yet been made public, it is known that Franklin will earn his biggest payday of his career as Whyte was his most notable opponent.
The Fury showdown, which Whyte lost via sixth-round knockout in April, netted “The Body Snatcher” a whopping $7.4 million payday, the highest of his career.
Elsewhere, Whyte will earn much less compared to his previous fights against Fury or Joshua but, he will undoubtedly claim lion-share of this fight’s purse. At Wembley Arena on Saturday, fans saw many notable results including Whyte’s unanimous decision win against Franklin and Wardley’s third-round KO win against Gorman.

Dillian Whyte vs Jermaine Franklin Match Events & How it Unfolded?
Whyte led from the first bell, but Franklin was ready to face-off against the Briton and focused on his opponent’s body to look for gaps. In the second round, Whyte started to use his jab and launch some of his own hard-hitting body blows, but Franklin absorbed all of them. Due to the fact that this was Franklin’s first 12-round battle, fatigue appeared to have already set in as his blows started to lose force in round four compared to the early exchanges. In the sixth, Franklin gained momentum and launched his own combinations as Whyte grew too accustomed to the fight’s tempo.
The American heavyweight’s efforts were beginning to pay off when, in round eight, he managed to get through Whyte’s defense with a right uppercut, which frequently drove Whyte to the mat. Both players were showing symptoms of tiredness when Franklin continued to dominate and rattled Whyte with right handed punch in the ninth. As a result, the battle became sloppy in the final two rounds, and it appeared as though it might end in a disappointing manner. Fortunately, despite conflicting orders from his trainer Buddy McGirt, Whyte sought a halt in the final round.
Both fighters gave it their best in the closing moments, and with less than a minute left, Whyte connected with a left hook that sent Franklin flying against the ropes. However, Whyte was unable to capitalize, and the fight was decided by the judges’ scores.
Dillian Whyte vs Jermaine Franklin Post-match Reactions & Next Fight for Whyte
Owing to his underwhelming win against Franklin, fans are speculating that Whyte might need more practice fights before going for rematch against Anthony Joshua. Whyte’s fight against Franklin was his first under new trainer McGirt and hence, Whyte should try other opponents to find his groove before his face-off against Joshua in one of the biggest fights.
