Latham’s blazing century guided New Zealand to the victory in 1st ODI
Latham and Williamson’s 221 runs stand made it light work after India posted a challenging total of 308 runs. Both Kiwi openers were sent back to the hut without doing much damage but it was captain Kane’s mature innings of 94* runs combined with Latham’s dominating 145 runs that guided New Zealand home.
Indian bowlers were put under pressure once the ball became soft. Chahal and Arshdeep gave too many bad balls and were totally off-color the other day. In the 2nd ODI India would surely look to better things up as far as their bowling is concerned.

IND vs NZ 2nd ODI 2022: Seddon Park Pitch Report
It is a batting-friendly wicket that does offer pace and bounce with the new ball. The surface gives a lot of help to the swing bowlers during the first 10 overs. It will be a good decision to bowl first on this deck as the ball comes nicely onto the bat later on.
The last time when India and New Zealand played on this surface was back in 2020. Kiwis chased down a mammoth target of 349 runs very easily.
