Alina Khan’s Family And Education
Alina Khan graduated with an Intermediate of Commerce degree and did a basic computer course. At a very age, she discovered the brutal reality of the Indian community and growing up with these social inequalities had an impact on her life. Alina dreamed of becoming a doctor but her family conditions were very bad which didn’t allow her to pursue her dreams. Her height is 5 feet 10 inches and her weight is 55 kgs approximately.
When Alina was in 5th standard, her father passed away. Alina has a mother, a brother, and a sister in her family. In an interview, while talking about her family she stated,
‘Yes, when I got the award, I met my parents, I met my brother. I have been beaten up a lot by my brother, my sister, mother since my childhood… Somewhere in my heart, I was a little scared.”
Alina Khan Professional Career And Films
In 2019, Alina made her debut with the short film titled ‘Darling’ in which she played the lead role. Director Saim Sadiq cast her to play the role of Alina in his movie which achieved the Orizzonti Award for Best Short Film at the 76th Venice Film Festival in 2019.
Alina’s other movie titled ‘Joyland’ in 2022 was a hit and it was also directed by Saim Sadiq. In this film, Alina played the role of Biba, an intersex dancer. Both movies achieved 2 awards at the Cannes Festival and made history as one of the first feature films from Pakistan. Both movies have earned Alina popularity and huge appreciation.
Apart from acting, Alina Khan has done several projects which include modeling for makeup and clothing brands.
