Caldera Confirmed Release Date
The confirmed release date for when Call of Duty Warzone 1 will return as Caldera is November 28. Activisionโs Warzone 2.0 and CoD Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 overview made the official confirmation about Calderaโs release date.
Activisionโs blog post clarified why they have temporarily shut down the servers. The game developers have stated that they have issued the temporary shutdown in order to allow Raven Software to ensure that the free-to-play 2.0 ecosystem runs effectively.
Players should note that when Warzone 1 returns as Caldera, it will remain separate from CoD MW2 and WZ 2.0. This means that players cannot use any skins or weapons from either of those two game modes. Check out below what else Call of Duty players can expect from Caldera.
Call Of Duty Caldera Gameplay
With Call of Duty Warzone 1 set to return as Caldera on November 28, Activision provided a brief overview of what fans can expect from the new game modeโs gameplay.Unluckily, some of the new gameplay features might disappoint CoD players.
The Battle Royale playlist will remain in caldera mode but players will not be able to experience anything from CoD MW2 and WZ 2.0 battle passes. Players will also not have any access to in-game stores but they can transfer their accumulated CoD Points across all games.
Lastly, and perhaps the most disappointing aspect is that players will not be able to access Rebirth Island and Fortuneโs Keep.
