Jagadeeshan was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 24 December, 1995. He started playing cricket at a very young age of 9 as his father was also a pro cricketer of his time. C.J Narayan father of Narayan Jagdeeshan used to play for Tata Electric company in Mumbai.

Jagadeeshan’s career started in 2016 Ranji Trophy when he made his first class debut in 2016 against Madhya Pradesh. His debut match was a memorable one as he scored a century and became the man of the match.
His list-A debut came in the very next year when he played against Uttar Pradesh at Cuttack. In his List-A career he has played around 28 matches and has scored 1007 runs with an average of 35.96 including 2 centuries and 5 half-centuries.
In IPL Jagadeeshan was bought by CSK in 2018 for 20 lakh INR. The latter didn’t got any chance to play in the first 2 season but the franchised sticked to the player as he was supremely talented and an investment for future.
He made his IPL debut in 2020 against RCB which wasn’t a memorable one. Till now he has played 5 matches for CSK in which the player has only scored 33 runs.
