According to police reports, the 31-year-old rapper had made a number of social media posts related to the shooting, which led them to arrest Bryan Silva.
Bryan Silva Brief Bio
Bryan Silva is a famous bodybuilder and rapper born on January 2, 1991, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. He moved with his family to Virginia when he was just 2-years-old and lived there till he was 12. He then moved back to Florida.
During an interview, he shared:
“I believe I was 14 when I ended up moving back to Virginia. A couple of months later I got locked up for three years.”
He later revealed that he got locked up for hitting his school’s principal after the latter pissed him off and stated he hit him with a chair.
Bryan’s Bodybuilding Career
Bryan first started bodybuilding while he was locked up in jail, and continued to pursue it seriously after his release. However, he soon started his own clothing line, and later began rapping. Back then, he shared that, “It’s not really rapping, because I’m not really rapping, I’m mainly just freestyling.”

Bryan Silva also briefly went viral on the social media platform Vine, which was and American short-form video hosting service. Vine was founded in the year 2012 and users could share six-second-long looping video clips.
Silva credited his hard work throughout the last couple of years for his success on Vine. He revealed how one of his flexing videos went viral on Vine, which garnered him lots of attention from viewers all over the world.
Why Police Authorities Arrested Bryan Silva
Following the shootings at the UVA on Sunday night, November 13, 2022, police found a couple of “concerning” social media posts that Bryan Silva posted. The searches led the police to arrest Bryan Silva on suspicions of a possible connection.
Although the investigation later shifted to former student-athlete Christopher Darnell Jones, police officials did not leave out Bryan completely. This is because the investigations are still going on and there are strong speculations of his involvement in the shootings.
Just a few hours before the shooting, Bryan shared a Facebook post stating:
I want u v a to know what pain and suffering is. They put me through that everyday of my life here and laughed in my face. I want them to feel how I feel. I will sell everything I have to make that pain and suffering happen.
Bryan also proceeded to share photos of him posing with a gun. The posts undoubtedly caused a lot of stir on social media as users linked them to the shooting incident. Some users even went to the extent of tagging both the Charlottesville Police Department and the University of Virginia Police Department in Silva’s post.
As of now, the cops have stated that they arrested Bryan, although it is not to do with the shooting at the University of Virginia.
Police have charged Bryan’s with possession of a controlled substance and possession or transportation of firearms, firearms ammunition, stun weapons, explosives, or concealed weapons by convicted felons.

The spokesperson further shared that the CPD did not believe Mr. Silva’s threats were related to the tragic events that occurred at the University of Virginia. However, the department had acted quickly because of all the fear caused in the community because of it.
