Vikas Walker, father of Shraddha Madan Walker, who was killed by her live-in partner Aftab Poonawala in an apartment in Mehrauli, New Delhi, and then cut into 35 pieces to be thrown away in different places over the next few months, spoke out about the horrible event on Tuesday
Vikas Walker, Shraddha’s father, told ANI, “I thought there might be a love jihad angle. We want Aftab to be put to death. I believe the Delhi Police and that the investigation is headed in the right direction. Shraddha liked her uncle a lot and didn’t talk to me very much. I didn’t talk to Aftab at all. I filed the first complaint in Vasai, which is in Mumbai.”

Since 2018, when they met on a dating app, they had been together. They moved from Mumbai to Delhi earlier this year after Shraddha’s family made it clear that they didn’t approve of the relationship.
When Shraddha’s friends told her parents and brother that she hadn’t used her phone in 2.5 months and hadn’t talked to anyone, her father and brother went to the Mumbai police in September.

What We Know About Vikas Walkar?
Her mother passed away two years ago. Her father and brother are still alive. The family said that they didn’t know much about who she was dating. We don’t know much about Vikas, except that he stopped talking to his daughter after she decided to stay with her boyfriend even though her family didn’t like it.
After the suspect was caught and admitted to killing his girlfriend, Vikas and his son went with the police to the Mehrauli forest area to look for pieces of Shraddha’s body. At first, the family thought their daughter was gone.

After his daughter was killed, he talked about how the victim had changed because she had been seeing the person who killed her.
“Aaftab Poonawala should be hanged if he did everything he said he did during the interrogation. I think he should be punished harshly for killing my daughter and keeping it all a secret for months. I wish we could find out what’s going on. Her friends told us that she had gone missing,” Vikas said.
