Anthony Rumble Johnson Announced Dead
Bellator MMA announced Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson’s death on social media on Sunday. According to one of Bellator MMA’s representatives, Johnson had reportedly been ill for over a year.
The cause of death was organ failure brought on by non-lymphoma Hodgkin’s and hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, an illness of the immune system. His net worth stood at $4 million and he was unmarried
Despite having a successful fighting career in the ring, outside of the ring, Johnson made the headlines several times for the wrong reasons.

Johnson was a repeat offender of domestic violence charges and had plenty of accusation and other charges filed against him. All of Johnson’s domestic violence charges, accusations, and other charges are discussed below.
Guilty Of Domestic Violence
Johnson was found guilty of domestic violence back in 2008 after entering a no-contest plea. Following the accusations, he was ordered to go under probation for three years.
Johnson was also accused of damaging the victim’s cellphone and making criminal threats against her. However, the court later dropped those charges.
In March 2014, Johnson was charged with domestic assault again, against his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his children. The incident took place in Arkansas and the police report, which was made public in September 2014 revealed several details.
According to the report, Johnson’s ex-girlfriend claimed that he physically approached her at her workplace. The now deceased MMA fighter apparently grabbed her shirt behind the neck, and lifted her off her chair.
Johnson also allegedly grabbed her right arm further, pulling on it a number of times violently to. He also went on to allegedly attack her verbally in front of numerous coworkers.
Following the incident, the girlfriend had noticeable bruises on her arm and scratches close to her collarbone. The police revealed that Johnson’s girlfriend was sobbing and trembling while explaining about the incident.
Another Domestic Violence Charge In 2019
Following another altercation with his girlfriend, police took Johnson into custody on May 5, 2019, in Boca Raton, Florida. Johnson’s girlfriend claimed that Johnson was upset after a fight and lifted her up and dragged her into another room. Following which, Johnson’s girlfriend dialed 911, as she was concerned about her safety.
Police arrested Johnson upon arrival and transported him to the Palm Beach County prison on charges of domestic assault. Johnson was eventually freed after signing a court order, which pledged him to appear for future court appearances.
Johnson was again charged on May, 2015 and entered a not-guilty plea. However, he was released again after a compromise with the prosecutors and pledging to take an anger management course.
Johnson’s charges were ultimately withdrawn and the case was dropped. Johnson also reportedly violated bail terms after failing to comply with the biweekly requirement to submit drug tests. Johnson was subject to drug tests after testing positive for marijuana.
Identity Theft
On May 11, 2021, police detained and charged Johnson with identity theft in Fairfield County, Connecticut. He was reportedly caught using a stolen credit card to book a flight in November 2019 from Newark, New Jersey, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Johnson was eventually freed after paying a $500 bond.
