PSL 2023 All Team Squad And Traded And Retained Players List Ahead Of Draft

The HBL PSL 2023 is confirmed to kick off on the 15th of February, know all the team squad and retained players list

Ahead of the season one of the biggest trade deals took place as Babar Azam went to Peshawar Zalmi. Here is PSL 2023: All trades and retentions.

Babar Azam to play for Peshwar Zalmi in PSL 2023

Babar Azam decided to part ways with Karachi Kings after 5 long years. He was the captain of Karachi Kings in the last season when his team finished at the bottom of the table.

Before the start of the PSL 2023, Karachi traded Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam to 2017 champion Peshwar Zalmi. In place of Babar Shoaib Malik and Haider Ali have been traded to Karachi Kings.

Each side can keep 8 players in their squad before the player draft

Before the PSL 2023 franchises have the leverage to retain 8 keep players in their squads. Players are divided into 4 categories Platinum, Gold, Silver, and emerging.

Teams can only have as many as 2 players in the platinum category.

Islamabad United: Shadab Khan (Platinum). Asif Ali (Brand Ambassador) and Mohammad Wasim Jnr (Diamond). Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf, and Hasan Ali (Gold). Colin Munro and Paul Stirling (Silver). 

Karachi Kings: Haider Ali (Platinum). Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir and Shoaib Malik (Diamond). Aamir Yamin, Mir Hamza and Sharjeel Khan (Silver). Qasim Akram (Emerging) 

Lahore Qalandars

Rashid Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi (Platinum). David Wiese (Diamond). Abdullah Shafique (Gold). Harry Brook and Kamran Ghulam (Silver). Zaman Khan (Emerging). The eighth retention is to be announced in due course.

In the player, draft teams will have a right-to-match card to retain any player of their squad.
