John Lewis has now declared its highly anticipated 2022 Christmas advert and while it may be a departure from earlier years.

John Lewis 2022 Christmas Advert Plot And Release
John Lewis Christmas advert is titled The Beginner and sees a middle-aged man who is attempting to learn how to skateboard. Set to a rendition of Blink 182โs All The Small Things by Mike Geier, the man repeatedly falls off skateboard and we see him back home to nurse his bruises with few frozen peas.
But he is not discouraged and while Christmas slowly approaches in the background, John scours the internet for tips and gradually also improves. The manโs wife is looking for a phone call during the advert and later she stated that she canโt wait for more about an upcoming event as Christmas is on way. It is presumed that she is done making for the season of Christmas.
Moreover, in the end, scene of the advert, itโs disclosed that the duo is in fact fostering a young girl named Ellie. She is full of anxiety, and enters their home clutching her own skateboard and it becomes very clear that man has been learning to skateboard so that he and Ellie will have something common in two.
For 2022 advert, John Lewis has also partnered with Action For Children and Who Cares Scotland to raise awareness and help out to support children who are in the UK care system. It was released on the 10th of November 2022 on John Lewis App.

The John Lewis Christmas Advert 2022 will be featuring 3 basic cast members and here are their names.
- John Paul Hurley will be seen as the skateboarding man. He hails from the South Yorkshire village of Denaby, near Mexborough. John Paul made his TV debut in 1999 and has gone on to perform in over 30 roles since then which have included appearances in the likes of The Syndicate, Rillington Place, Wallander, Shetland, Silent Witness, Peaky Blinders as well as the films Peterloo and The Lost King also.
- Victoria Elliott as the wife. As per the scenes in the advert the manโs wife is Victoria Elliott. Victoria has also starred in more than 11 movies and television roles with her most particular roles coming in Emmerdale which is a comedy series called Hebburn Boy Meet Girl.
- Brooke Hart as Ellie. At the end, the young Ellie role is played by a rising star Brooke Hart who has only recently started her acting career professionally.
