Biles had already won four gold medals during the 2016 Rio Olympics and was also expected to win four more medals during the Tokyo Olympics 2021, but she withdrew from the two matches on Saturday.

She was suffering from bouts of “twisties” which took around two-three weeks to get over but genuinely, there was no telling the time frame.

Her social media accounts were filled with messages of support when she first withdrew from the matches and also responded to her critics, who according to her thought that she had quit. Speaking about the same, she said, “For all those who are saying I quit, I did not. My mind and body are not in sync right now.” Although, she did win a silver medal in the women’s team event as she had started the final.
