Akimoto, who is a Japanese Kickboxing star and the reigning ONE bantamweight champion last displayed a dominant performance against Capitan Petchyindee. The 30-year-old has an overall record of 26-1 with a 5-game win streak.
Former WMC Muay Thai World Champion Petchtanong on the other hand, earned his title shot after an impressive victory over Zhang Chenglong back in September.
