It’s been a very remarkable rise to stardom for Jessica Gadirova who is a British teenager. She finished the 2022 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships with three medals in total.

Jessica Gadirova Achievements
Gadirova achieved a silver medal in the team event and also a bronze in the all-around competition before pipping in the USA’s Jordan Chiles to floor gold. Having a struggling game while having an injury, Gadirova became the fifth British world champion in the history of all time.
Speaking to BBC Sport she stated: “I’m just so relieved it was worth it, I pushed through the pain and it was truly worth it. I am so so much proud of myself for just keeping the fight on and trying to target my own individual performance and I didn’t listen to anyone else’s scores.”
Despite her Olympic and World Championship medals, Jessica Gadirova has also felt and enjoyed success at the European Championships. This 18-year-old has achieved gold in the floor exercise at the Championships 2021 held in Basel and retained her title this year in Munich. Jessica has a total of five European Championship medals and was also named the 2021 Gymnast of the Year by European Gymnastics.
Does Jessica Gadirova Have A Twin?
Jessica Gadirova has a twin sister named Jennifer who is also a professional gymnast. Both the twin sisters represented Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics and helped out Britain win bronze in the team event. Jennifer also achieved a silver medal at the Junior World Championship in the vault final in 2019. The teenager competed in the same floor event as Jessica and she finished seventh overall.
Jessica Gadirova Family And Professional Career
The Gadirova twins hail from Ireland, Dublin and are of Azerbaijani background. Their father named Natig Gadirov is a citizen of Azerbaijan, as a result, the twins have Azeri, Irish and British citizenship.
18 year old Gadirova turned senior in 2020 but did not contest because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The following year Jessica competed at the Tokyo Olympics and was part of the British team that claimed a bronze medal in the team event. Jessica qualified for the all-around and floor exercise finals too by finishing 10th in the former and sixth in the latter.
Apart from falling off the balance beam in the all-around final, Jessica Gadirova was considered to be the highest-placing British gymnast in an all-around final.
