Shehzad has been one of the most technically sound batters Pakistan has ever produced. He was 17 when he played his first international game against the brutal Australian team.
His career started superbly but his 2011 World Cup campaign wasn’t memorable and later he got dropped from the Pakistani team. Due to the lack of consistency, his career didn’t get the wings it should have.
In the 2014 T20, World Cup Ahmed Shehzad became the first Pakistani batter to score a century in all formats.
The incident took place in the ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka
In 2014, Pakistan toured Sri Lanka for a 3-match ODI series which they lost 2-1. In that series, a weird incident happened when Ahmed Shehzad passed a cryptic comment to Sri Lankan opener TM Dilshan in the 3rd ODI.
Pakistan posted a below-average total of 102 runs which became light work for the Lankan team. They chased down the total in just 18.2 overs with the help of the unbeaten 50 by Dilshan.

When the players of both the team were leaving the field after the game ended Shehzad said something unusual to Dilshan. Shehzad was clearly heard saying “If you are a non-Muslim and you turn Muslim, no matter whatever you do in your life, straight to heaven,โย
Dilshan’s reply to this statement was very inaudible it looked like Dilshan took that statement in a funny way.

Dilshan converted to Buddhist from Islam at the age of 16
TM Dilshan was Muslim before the conversion and his name was Tuwan Muhammad Dilshan. Dilshan’s father was Muslim and his mother was Buddhist later when His parents got separated he along with his siblings converted to his Mother’s religion.
