The streaming giant Netflix has announced the renewal of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman after season 1 of the series saw a huge success.

As per the statement released by the streaming platform, the upcoming episodes of the series “a continuation of The Sandman world”.
Though the makers haven’t yet updated us regarding the number of total episodes or the plot of the sequel season or the official release date.
The official Twitter account of the series announced the good news via sharing footage through their handle.
The tweet reads, “The Dream Continues. Yes, it’s true: The Sandman will return to Netflix.”
“Now it’s time to get back to work. There’s a family meal ahead, after all.” And Lucifer is waiting for Morpheus to return to Hell.”
The creator and author of the series who also wrote the original comic book of the same name, Neil Gaiman also took to his Twitter handle and shared the announcement.
If we speak about the season 1 of the series, the show has seen quite a massive popularity as well as positive feedback.
According to its IMDb page, the show has been rated 7.7/10 while it is liked by 87% on rotten tomatoes alongside 4.⅗ on Google.
