As per a report by The Hindu, ahead of state assembly polls, Gadhvi, who is a TV journalist turned politician has been declared as the Chief Ministerial face of AAP in Gujarat.

On Thursday, Nov 3, the Election Commission announced that the elections for the 182 members of Gujarat Assembly will be held in phases.
As per the Election Commission, the first phase election is scheduled to be held on December 1st while the second phase is scheduled to take place on December 5.
In a statement, Delhi’s CM and AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal has announced the name of Isudan Gadhvi as the party’s face in Gujarat ahead of crucial elections.
Later, the official account of AAP has even shared a clip of Isudan, where he was seen taking blessings from his mother.
Earlier in Surat, before announcing the name of Isudan Gadhvi as the party’s face, Kejriwal announced an online survey for the name suggestion for the chief ministerial face for the state.
Later in his speech, while addressing the people, the Chief Minister of Delhi revealed that as many as 16 lakh people participated in the online survey and out of them 73% has suggested Isudan Gadhvi’s name.
Who’s Isudan Gadhvi?
For those who are unfamiliar with Isudan Gadhvi, let us tell you, he was born in Gujaratโs Pipaliya village, which is located near Jamkhambhaliya town in Devbhoomi, Dwarka on January 10, 1982 and is a Hindu by religion. The 40 year old is an OBC and his family details are not known.
His father is a farmer. He graduated in 2005 and has obtained a degree in journalism and mass communication from Gujarat Vidyapeeth.
During his early career as a journalist, he worked with the popular TV show, ‘Yojana,’ which ran on Doordarshan.
Later, he switched and joined hands with ETV as an Gujarati on-field journalist. He is quite well known for exposing the deforestation scam in Dang as well as Kaparada talukas in Gujarat.
After this story, he became known as a fearless journalist. In 2015, he took over VTV Gujarati, where he ran his TV show titled Mahamanthan.
