A long time educational leader and school board member, Stan Elrod has left for his heavenly abode, know his obituary
As per a report by WXII12 News, the esteemed Principal has unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, October 25th at the age of 70.

The community of Forsyth County is mourning the sudden passing of a man who made a mark on the County’s education.
Stan was quite well known for his passion and dedication for teaching. He was so dedicated that he became the first Principal of the Reagan High School back in 2005.
Cause of Death
However, after 5 years spent at the school, he retired from the post of principal. The tragic news of an educator’s sudden passing has been confirmed by his family after a facebook post.
Elrod’s sister, Donna Whitlock took to social media, and confirmed the tragic news of his brother’s passing as she wrote a heartfelt message.
Donna penned down, “My heart is broken tonight. My sweet baby brother, Stan Elrod passed away at his home tonight. It was very sudden and unexpected. We are all in shock and hurting.”
As of now, the cause of Elrod’s death has not been disclosed. Stan Elrod is survived by his wife, Linda and their two kids, Angie and Michael.
Who was Stan Elrod?
Stan, who was born and raised in Whitmire, South Carolina, was an educational personnel. He was the youngest among 3 siblings.
Stan, who was quite well known for his interest in basketball, had attended Newberry College before attending the University of South Carolina.
The tragic news of the former principal’s passing came months after he and his wife, Linda celebrated their 50th anniversary back in July, this year.
Elrod, started his career in education via social studies teacher and later he switched and became the basketball team coach at RJ Reynolds High School.
In 1986, the teacher became the Assistant Principal of RJ Reynolds.
When Ronald Wilson Reagan High School opened up, Stan went on to perform the duty of its first leader as he built the new traditions of the school.

After learning the news of Elrod’s demise, many of his friends, colleagues and students took to social media to pay their tributes to the esteemed educational authority.
