The 2022 BetVictor Northern Ireland Open was a professional ranking snooker competition that was held at Belfast, Northern Ireland’s Waterfront Hall from October 16–23, 2022. Following his dominant 9-4 win over Zhou Yuelong, local-hero Mark Allen successfully retained Northern Ireland Open to secure his place in next week’s Champion of Champions event.

2022 Northern Ireland Open Snooker Mark Allen vs Zhou Yuelong Final Match Events & Summary
In front of a boisterous home crowd at the Waterfront in Belfast, Mark Allen defeated Zhou Yuelong 9-4 to successfully reclaim his Northern Ireland title. Allen fell behind 4-1 after a sluggish start, but he fought back valiantly by winning the next eight straight frames to successfully defend his Alex Higgins Trophy. Following his final win, Allen earned £80,000 prize money along with much-coveted spot in upcoming Champion of Champions.
Mark Allen and Zhou Yuelong were tied at 4-4 going into break after culmination of afternoon session and it looked like the final will be a nail-biting one. However during evening session, Allen continued his momentum from earlier to claim five consecutive frames and win championship with ease. Allen finished the match in style after he scored 109 break in 13th frame, which was his only century break in summit clash. Throughout the final, Allen managed eight half-century or better breaks but Zhou could muster only two.

Mark Allen will get a payout of £80,000 for winning the 2022 Northern Ireland Open, whereas Zhou Yuelong will only receive £35,000 after finishing as runner-up.
