While some pointed out how it was respectful of Pandya to partake in the home side’s national anthem as well, others quizzingly questioned while he had decided to do so. The gesture drew mixed reactions as Pandya showcased another aspect of his myriad personality.
Hardik Pandya will meanwhile be looking to finally come good for the Indians after enduring a horror show during the three match ODI series. Dreary with both the bat and ball, Pandya massively struggle to settle into his grove with many berating his continued selection.
While Pandya does have the odd good performance in him, he’s far from the player who can really take over the baton of a pure all-rounder for India. And many faithful of the Indian side have questioned why he’s continued getting a leeway in the side with many others being axed after a couple of failures.
India meanwhile found themselves at 29-1 in 4 overs after Prithvi Shaw was dismissed on the very first ball of the match. Shikhar Dhawan and Sanju Samson are currently at the crease for India at the time of writing.
