BetVictor Northern Ireland Open Results Today, Day 3 Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, Draw, And List of Players
Following a 4-2 victory over Alexander Ursenbacher, Mark Williams joined local favourites Mark Allen and Jordan Brown in claiming a spot in the round of 32 of the BetVictor Northern Ireland Open. Mark Allen advanced to the round of 32 earlier in the evening by thrashing Chen Zifan 4-0. After defeating Chang Bingyu 4-1 yesterday night with a string of four victories, The Pistol repeated the feat this time, making it eight frames won without a hitch.
Jordan Brown, who was born in Antrim, won 4-2, coming from behind to advance to the next round. After defeating the world’s No. 12 player, Jack Lisowski, in the morning, Li Hang won his second match of the day by defeating Chinese compatriot Si Jiahui 4-0. Jimmy Robertson finished off his match against Andy Hicks with two breaks of 50 or more to win 4-1 and move on to the next round.
Neil Robertson defeated Fan Zhengyi 4-2 this afternoon to secure his spot in the round of 32 of the BetVictor Northern Ireland Open. Mark Selby, the fourth-ranked player in the world, defeated Sam Cragie, a player he had previously sponsored, 4-2. John Higgins, the runner-up from the previous year, outlasted Fergal O’Brien 4-2 to advance to the round of 64 and face Jackson Page. Glasgow’s Higgins won this morning after winning two frames on the black. Li Hang defeated Jack Lisowski 4-2 and Xiao Guodong defeated Mink Nutcharut 4-0.
Matches will be best of seven frames up to and including the fourth round, as is customary for all Home Nations championships. There will be nine frames in each of the quarterfinals, 11 frames in each of the semifinals, and 17 frames in the championship match.
