Game developers Magpie Games has announced the release date for its Avatar Legends tabletop roleplaying game, along with pre-order, game expansions, and gameplay features.
Avatar Legends is an officially licensed tabletop roleplaying game set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.

The game spans across five different time eras where players take the roles of martial artists, technological experts, or benders.
Avatar Legends Release Date And Pre-order
The pre-orders for Avatar Legends started earlier this week. While the digital copies of the Core Rulebook officially will go on sale on October 26, the physical copies will go on sale on January 25, 2023.
Magpie Games will initially release two books – the Core Rulebook and the Wan Shi Tong’s Adventure Guide book. The books provide players with five adventures and several new character options.
Pre-orders for both the digital and physical copies are currently available. Moreover, Magpie Games also announced that they would release a special Avatar Legends Starter Set at Target in Q1 2023.
Magpies Games originally announced Avatar Legends in 2021, with a Kickstarter for the game raising over $9.5 million.
The developers have planned several expansions for the game, with sourcebooks for Republic City and The Spirit City already announced. Developers will release the Republic City sourcebook in Summer of 2023.
Gameplay Features
Avatar Legends uses the Powered by the Apocalypse game system, where players build their character using a playbook.
Each character has different abilities, and gameplay and advancement are based around finding a character’s inner balance.
The game features various characters from the Avatar franchise appearing as Legends that can impart knowledge to the players or serve as allies or enemies depending on the situation.
Avatar Legends will support stories in five different eras of the Avatar franchise. It will also feature a ton of new lore for the Roku era provided by Avatar creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.
