Talks are progressing between Sevilla and Tottenham for a swap deal of Argentine attacking midfielder Erik Lamela and 20-year-old Bryan Gil. Meanwhile, Sevilla will receive €25m + add ons for Bryan Gil in a player+cash deal.

29-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder Erik Lamela’s career has seen ups and downs where he was amongst one of the brightest talents of the Premier League and an exciting player. He spent 8 years at Tottenham where he scored 37 goals in 255 appearances for the club in all competitions.
He is now being let go by the club to Sevilla as a part of a swap-deal with highly-rated young Spanish midfielder Bryan Gil. Lamela will sign a 3-year deal with Sevilla where he will receive the same salary as he did with the London outfit.
Bryan Gil had a €50million release clause in his current contract with Sevilla. However, Tottenham acted quickly and smartly to get their hands on a young intelligent midfielder for half the cash including Erik Lamela as a part of the deal.
