Watch: “I’ll make you all leave,” Maurizio Sarri Threatens To Throw Out Lazio Supporters If They Continue To Abuse Vedat Muriqi

Maurizio Sarri was far from impressed with Lazio’s supporters who were persistently battering Vedat Muriqi

Ever since he’s made his move to the Serie A, Vedat Muriqi has failed to overhaul his underachieving form. The Kosovo striker has been lacklustre and dreary across the course of the last year to see him draw the ire of his side’s supporters.

Making the switch to Fenerbache from Lazio from 18.5 million pounds last season, the 27 year old striker endured a stinker of an opening season. His debut season at Lazio saw him score the scanty one goal in 27 matches, a figure which well alluded to his struggles at the club.

Looking to turnaround things for himself come the 2021-22 season, Muriqi found support in his new manager. Maurizio Sarri who was given charge of the side ahead of the forthcoming season was far from pleased with the treatment being meted to his team’s peers.

Muriqi who was being constantly berated by Lazio supporters who had come to watch a Lazio training session saw his Tuscan boss stand up for him. Lazio was captured walking up to the supporters and asking them to stop smearing the striker or he would throw them all out.

Sarri’s reaction drew a round of applause from the remainder of the supporters who were pleased at the sharp rebuttal from Sarri.

The forthcoming Serie A 2021-22 season is not only one which comes bearing with it the gift of redemption for Vedat Muriqi. For Maurizio Sarri who was dismissed by Juventus despite winning the Serie A, this season is all about salvaging his pride.

Sarri who had previously served Chelsea and won the Europa League with them had recently talked about his last couple of clubs. Sarri had said it was a colossal mistake by him to decide to leave Chelsea and join Juventus despite there being no pressure on him to leave Chelsea.
